We install glass balconies and replace car glass in Kartal’s new seafront residences and in the apartment blocks of neighbourhoods such as Yakacık, Soğanlık and Uğurmumcu. We arrive from Ümraniye via TEM and E-5 in 30–40 minutes and also serve workplaces along the D-100.
Kartal has residence projects rising from the redevelopment of former industrial land on the coast, and 4–8 storey apartment blocks inland in Yakacık, Soğanlık, Esentepe and Uğurmumcu. In residences the glass balcony is usually specified at project stage; those adding one later must choose the system approved by management. In these projects a threshold-free glass balcony combined with glass railings is common.
In apartment buildings the best value is usually the standard folding glass balcony. As winter temperatures on Yakacık’s higher ground are a few degrees lower than on the coast, we also suggest considering double glazing.
In flats along the shore, the view of the Princes’ Islands makes the balcony precious. With a post-free folding system the sashes stack in one corner, so the view is not interrupted. On days when the south-westerly blows hard, simply keep the sashes locked.
Kartal sees heavy traffic with its D-100 and TEM links. A cracked windscreen may be recorded as a defect at inspection and affects driving safety. Around busy spots such as the courthouse and hospitals we prefer site car parks.
On terraces in seafront projects we also replace old metal railings with glass railings and handrails, working with the profile colour approved by management and completing installation in a day.
Tip: Do not put your car through an automatic car wash for the first 24 hours after a windscreen replacement.
