Privacy Notice

At İKİZLER OTO CAM we care about the security of your personal data. This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK") and the related Communiqué on the Obligation to Inform, to explain how we process personal data obtained through our website, telephone, WhatsApp, e-mail and service points.

2. Personal data we process

Depending on the service, we may process the following categories:

• Identity: first name, surname.
• Contact: phone number, e-mail address.
• Address and location: address, district and neighbourhood for surveys, installation or mobile car glass service.
• Vehicle data: make, model, model year, licence plate, chassis number (where needed to source the correct glass).
• Insurance data: insurer, policy and claim details for insured glass replacement.
• Request and transaction data: quote form content, measurements, photos, appointment date, warranty record, invoice details.
• Customer transaction and finance: payment method, invoice and collection records.
• Transaction security: IP address, browser and device information, site usage logs and cookie data.

3. Purposes of processing

We process your personal data to:

• Prepare quotes and schedule survey and installation appointments,
• Provide glass balcony, winter garden, pergola, shower enclosure and car glass services,
• Manage the claim process with your insurer for insured glass replacement,
• Create warranty records and enable warranty lookups,
• Fulfil invoicing, accounting and statutory record-keeping obligations,
• Handle your requests, complaints and suggestions,
• Keep the website secure and measure service quality,
• Send campaign and information messages where you have given explicit consent.

4. Legal grounds (KVKK Art. 5)

Your data is processed on the grounds that it is directly necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c), expressly provided for by law and necessary to fulfil our legal obligations (Art. 5/2-a and ç), necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right (Art. 5/2-e), and necessary for our legitimate interests provided your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed (Art. 5/2-f). Commercial electronic messages and non-essential cookies rely solely on your explicit consent (Art. 5/1).

5. Transfers of personal data

Limited to the purposes above and in line with KVKK Articles 8 and 9, your data may be transferred to:

• Insurance companies: only for insured or glass-cover jobs, to open and approve the claim,
• Suppliers and business partners: glass and profile suppliers, courier and logistics firms, installation teams,
• Service providers: hosting, e-mail, accounting and software providers we work with,
• Authorised public bodies: where there is a lawful request.

As a rule your personal data is not transferred abroad. If analytics tools are used on our website, their servers may be located abroad; such transfers are made within the framework of KVKK Art. 9 and based on your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time from the cookie panel.

6. Method of collection

Data is collected through the quote, contact, callback and warranty check forms on our website, phone and WhatsApp conversations, e-mail, our service points and survey visits, by partly automated (cookies) and non-automated means.

7. Retention period

Personal data is kept for as long as the processing purpose requires and for the statutory periods set by law. For example, invoice and accounting records are kept for ten years under tax legislation, and warranty records for the warranty period plus any subsequent limitation period. Quote requests that do not proceed are deleted or anonymised after a reasonable period.

8. Your rights under KVKK Art. 11

As a data subject you have the right to:

• Learn whether your personal data is processed,
• Request information if it has been processed,
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
• Know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad,
• Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
• Request deletion or destruction under KVKK Art. 7,
• Request that corrections and deletions be notified to third parties to whom data was transferred,
• Object to an outcome against you arising solely from automated analysis,
• Claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

9. How to apply

You may submit requests regarding your rights in writing, with information verifying your identity, to [Address], via registered e-mail to [KEP address], or from the e-mail address registered with us to [privacy@domain], in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Your request will be concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest; if the process incurs an additional cost, the fee in the Personal Data Protection Board’s tariff may be charged.
