Skoda windscreen replacement
Skoda shares Volkswagen Group technology, so its camera and sensor set-up resembles VW models. Many versions of the Octavia IV, Superb, Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq, Scala and Fabia IV use a windscreen camera for lane assist, traffic-sign recognition and front assist.
What we watch for
- Some versions have a heated windscreen with fine wires and acoustic glass; the wrong part leaves the heating dead.
- Higher trims with head-up display need HUD-compatible glass.
- On earlier generations such as the Octavia III the camera depends on the version.
