Audi windscreen replacement
On most Audis the windscreen carries the lane-assist and traffic-sign camera, rain/light sensors and, on some versions, the head-up display. On the A3 8Y, A4 B9, A6 C8, Q3, Q5 and electric Q4 e-tron, calibration is an essential part of any replacement.
Glass types
- Acoustic glass: Cuts road and wind noise; common on higher trims.
- Solar-control glass: Lowers cabin temperature; some versions include an antenna area.
- HUD-compatible glass: Needed for a single, sharp head-up display image.
Electric models
In quiet electric cars such as the Q4 e-tron acoustic glass matters more. The right glass is identified by VIN, a calibration report is provided and insurance work is handled for you.
